John Clark
A Midwest-based designer and educator, and Teaching Assistant Professor in the
School of Architecture at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he
co-coordinates the first- and second-year design studios.
His work spans spatial design, object design, fabrication, planning, computation,
and photography. His research asks how tools and workflows shape
who can participate in design — with an emphasis on hybrid digital/analog
practice and accessible methods, including AI-assisted visualization and low-vision
technologies.
